FAQ for SWB Training Series Application

1. Who is eligible to apply?

Individuals seeking professional development opportunities that empower them to radically reimagine systems and reshape the world. The Burns Institute offers a unique approach rooted in equity, justice, and transformative change.

2. Is there a fee to participate in the training series?

Yes, fees are structured as follows:

  • Individual - $3,000
  • Small Non-Profit (Annual Budget less than $5 million) - $3,500
  • Non-Profit (Annual budget greater than $5 million) - $5,000
  • Government - $7,500
  • Philanthropy, Corporate/For-Profit/Social Venture - $10,000
3. Is there tuition assistance?

Yes. Due to limited resources, we are prioritizing:

  • People who are or have been directly or system-impacted
  • Self-employed individuals
  • Those affiliated with smaller grassroots organizations lacking professional development funds
4. What is the application deadline?

The application deadline is 11:59pm PST, June 1st, 2025. Late applications may not be considered, so we encourage early submission.

5. How will I know if my application has been received?

• You will receive a confirmation email upon submission
• If no confirmation within 48 hours, check your spam folder
• Contact admissions@burnsinstitute.org for assistance

6. What is the format of the training sessions?

Training sessions will be conducted virtually in an interactive format to accommodate all participants.

7. How long will the training series last?

The training series will run from September 2025 through April 2026. Detailed information and specific dates will be shared upon acceptance.
